BRIDLES & BIBLES

A normal Bridles and Bibles day will consist of our students learning about horse behavior, how to safely handle horses, developing skills under saddle, assisting with barn chores, and at the end of the day we have bible studies to learn about God and what it means to have an active relationship with him.

Students will begin saddling at 4:15 p.m., and parents can pick up their child at the Camp Peniel barn at 6:15 p.m. If it is raining, we will still do horse activities under a shed or in the barn. However, if the Marble Falls area is expecting severe weather we will reschedule.

We can pick up your student after school if they go to school in Marble Falls. Let us know if, where, and what time to pick up your child, and please make arrangements for them to be picked up with the school. Please notify us if child needs a booster seat.

The last week we have a little show. This is a great opportunity for families to see what their children have learned during the semester. You don't want to miss it!

Camp Peniel’s horse programs are unique in that we want to teach our students about horsemanship but more importantly want to help them root their identity in Christ.

Horses can be very beneficial to both children and adults in all different walks of life. I know firsthand that God uses horses to heal, build character, and ultimately to shape his children into whom they were created to be.

In a busy, stress filled world, we desire to use what God has given Camp Peniel to reach out to the families in our community and offer a place of rest, peace, acceptance and love, from us, and ultimately from God. It is our hope to meet our riding students where they are at and from there work towards building a solid foundation both in horsemanship, as well as their personal relationship with Jesus.
